Annually, over 9 million people directly depend on the freight industry as their main source of income. Unfortunately, the lack of Class A CDL drivers is a crisis in the U.S. and worldwide. In 2022, the US government announced a shortage of drivers and reported that the trucking industry was affected by the pandemic. There was lost in wages and services. This resulted in a rise in cost for day-to-day essentials. This catastrophe will require more private carrier/owner operators to stabilize the industry by the year 2030.
