Collection: The Industry

The trucking commerce is a forever growing and equitable industry in the US. This service is required to move machinery, equipments, food, daily essentials to vehicles nation wide. This is the most efficient and cost effective medium for bulk transport. In 2022, the US government announced a shortage of drivers. This is a supply chain crisis; but with a slow and steady resolution.

It’s undeniable that the trucking industry is affected by the pandemic. The industry has plummeted through labor and  load shortages reflecting like a domino effect, causing a catapult in prices and labor shortages. Experts have concluded that if the trucking industry continues  at it’s current course, there will be a need of more than 160,000 drivers by 2030.

Private carriers are the largest industry-players within the automotive carrier world! According to the American Trucking Association (ATA), 72.5% of Americas freight are moved by trucks. In 2020, an estimated $732.3 billion was earned in revenue. It is further recorded that 3.97 million Class 8 trucks are in operation; which transports a portion of the 10.23 billion tons of freight hauled in 2020.
